Swimming in the sunshine

After a very chilly first few weeks, we are now enjoying our daily swimming lessons in Room 2. We have been working on our flotation, glide, and strong quick floppy feet to move us through the water efficiently. There are now happy faces enjoying the pool, rather than shivering children who were not keen to dip their toes in.

Beach Clean Up Day

On Monday 20th February, we continued our very long history of picking up rubbish across the community and out towards Weld Road.
The Juniors walked down to Corbett Park, and after a quick dip in the river, we enjoyed a hot sausage and then went on our mission to collect rubbish around Corbett Park. We were very happy to find very little rubbish which is encouraging to think the community is looking after our beautiful spaces.
After our lunch, we created houses and buildings using drift wood, rocks and seaweed.

Thank you very much to the parents who came and supported this event. Without your continuing help we wouldn't be able to run and enjoy these special days. 😊

Scooter Skills was Super Fun

On Friday 10 February, the Junior School had Scooter Skills. We learnt about fitting our helmets correctly, 3 ways of stopping quickly and being safe out on the foot path. We learnt how to pass people using our manners and stopping quickly when cars come out of driveways.

                                      Practising our stopping skills!!!

Success getting past a sneaky driveway.
